My role: Develop a digital concept and design for the counselling tool and transform it into an interactive prototype to be tested at a major European conference.

Bernafon’s Encanta campaign introduces a new hearing aid line focused on personalized sound and seamless user experiences. As part of this campaign, Bernafon aimed to create a digital Counselling Tool to help hearing care professionals explain the technology more effectively.

I was brought on to help develop this tool, which simplifies complex concepts, supports fittings, and improves communication between professionals and patients. It marks the first step in Bernafon's transition to a fully digital user journey, from diagnosis to ongoing care. All campaign materials, including AI-generated personas, were developed in-house by Bernafon to play a central role in the tool.

Prototype for EUHA conference

I created a prototype that Bernafon brought to a major conference for hearing aid professionals in Germany. It was tested there as a step toward future production. To make the experience as realistic as possible, I focused on including rich gestures and transitions.

The tool is based on four everyday scenarios. The user and hearing aid provider discuss each one and set a slider to reflect how the hearing loss impacts daily life.

After completing the test, the user is presented with the Encanta product that best matches their level of hearing disability.

Using the “Best fit / Overview” toggle, the hearing care provider can access an overview of the answers and revisit the discussion, allowing adjustments that may lead to a different result.
